They charge you with GST but not give you a proper bill. We simply got a paper slip as our bill. The tent was not clean. Service is also not upto the mark. The good things are the staff behaviour and the food taste and quality.
There are better options in this range for sure!

Baul Sangee is 8 to 9 km away from Shantiniketan. There are some collages with different names for example out cottage was Charulata. There is a large garden and a pond like and some places for gathering. The room has AC but load shedding happened frequently during my stay in September when there was a heavy rainfall. There is no concrete road in front of the hotel. You will find a road upto a canal nearby but there is no solid road in between the canal and the hotel. It is like no man's land. There is a paddy field around the hotel. If there is no rain you will enjoy the greenery and quietness. The wash room was clean but we stayed for a night and in the morning flash was not working. The tap in the basin was fitted wrongly so water from the was coming back to me. Room service in heavy rainfall was very good. We took Bengali food. It was good and reasonable.We went by toto from Santiniketan station which took went up to the canal and another toto came from the hotel to pick up from the rest of way. Due to heavy rain we went back to station by a pvt car arranged by the hotel charged rs800.Initially we decided to go to Kankalitola and would go back to hotel for breakfast and then to station which could cost rs 1500. But due to heavy rain we went to station only. The exaggerated blog on the hotel gave a very colourful picture which encouraged us to choose Baul Sangee. If you like no man's land and a standard Bengali food you will enjoy it. Going by a car will be more convenient.

We visited Baul Sangee Resort on 15th August,2024. It was a family trip. We went with lot of expectations as we saw in youtube videos especially in videos of 'Living with Rahul' but our expectations didn't even match at all.Here's why:
1. First of all , the least you can expect from a hotel room of tariff 5000/- is cleanliness and good room service. Both were not upto the mark. About cleanliness, the bedsheets and blankets were dirty , felt like they didn't wash them after last use. There was not minimum necessities available like body shampoo , body wash , toothpaste, a soap. They filled only one case in each bathroom with body wash(we took the 6 people room with 3beds and 2bathrooms)even after repeatedly asking for shampoo,they only nodded but didn't provide.
2. Room service: there's no room service on their own. We had to call multiple times to clean our room after day 1.
3. Delay in everything: There aren't many staffs , only 2 people were serving us and they were making too much delay in providing food.
4. The manager doesn't respond quickly. We had to call him several times to gt things done.
5.Food was good. No complaints but as shown by Rahul no extra facility(with money of course)was available like barbeque or anything.I guess they only do this for youtubers.
6. The ambience is good but nothing as shown in the pictures on google. The environment is quite different now. These are maybe older pictures which they're still using to show people.
All in all, the service was not at all at par with the tariff that they're charging. They need to have more staffs and upgrade their services. Overall experience was average.

Best budget resort at near enough location.
Cons:
1) You have to travel through about 5.5 km of not so monsoon friendly road to reach the nearest main road to visit any nearby attractions. Great for dry seasons because of the roadside view.
2) The resort is on the ground floor and surrounded by agricultural land, so the problems with insects and rodents persist. The windows and doors needed to be closed the whole day, and AC must be used during any other season than winter, when insects hibernate. Hotel staff are very helpful and vigilante on removing those unwanted guests on service calls, so if you are not afraid of nature, then it's a great place to enjoy your vacation.
Pros:
1) If you want to enjoy your vacation in a quiet distance place then this is the resort you are looking for.
2) All amenities expected of a standard resort are provided of utmost qualities.
3) The surrounding view is great for any dry season.
4) Cleanliness is top notch.
5) Food menu is limited but sufficient (you can't expect too much variety available all the time in a distance place from main city) but food quality and quantity is top notch and budget friendly. I would recommend trying different items if you are staying for long. And try to eat at the resort instead of hotels nearby. The hygiene and taste maintained here is unmatched anywhere else.

We booked a 6 bedded room and 2 tents for a family-friends tour. Below are the pros and cons.
Pros.
1. Location is good , far from bolpur town
2. 6 bedded room has 2 washrooms which is good for 2 families sharing the room.
3. Lunch served were good in taste.
Cons.
1. The road condition is pathetic.
2. Breakfast needs lots of improvement. Same menu served everyday.
3. Tea is not included in the breakfast which.
4. No eggs are served with puri sabji, only served with bread butter.
5. Barbeque is exorbitantly priced. Rs. 800/ kg is not pretty high.

Suddenly planed Trip to Tarapith Shantiniketan find this place on Google maps and decide to check in. Rooms are very comfortable they have verity of room options available. And they have Car parking available. This resort are quite big and very beautiful. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They are always at ur service just one step ahead. Manager is very helpful. I just spend one night due to lack of time. But must recommend place if you are visiting Shantiniketan from kolkata try this place trust me u won’t get disappointed. Yes only things don’t take the shortcut road from sonajhuri more is very pathetic. Take the other road it’s only take 2 km extra but u could reach early and rood is good.

The rooms are big and the staff is cordial. The resort is far from the hustle and bustle (though it's worth mentioning that it is very safe) and few people may choose to stay at a closer location. The overall vibe of the place is very calming and it's nice if you wanna take a break.
